eBay Selling
eBay has recently enacted a policy to ban the auction selling of physic readings, magical spells, and potions on its site. The policy will begin on August 30, giving people who want such items scant time to make one last purchase. eBay has put a lot of thought into this process and still gone ahead with it,despite the fact that people seem to enjoy the silly and harmless eBay selling of this nature.
eBay released a statement regarding their decision, which can be summed up simply. They want people to have a good experience shopping on their website, and have always had a policy regarding intangible eBay selling items-ghosts, souls, etc. This will mean a small number of selections in the metaphysical category of auction selling will no longer be allowed. It is difficult to verify if someone sold a magic spell, or figure out if someone truly got the correct psychic reading. Resolving complaints was very difficult.
Over 1500 people have signed a petition in protest. However, if spells really worked, it would have been much easier to just magic up something that changed the minds of people in charge. Of course, eBay could already be using a powerful spell to stop petitioners. In the world of magic, almost anything is possible. However, in the real world of auction selling you have to have an item with mass and weight in order to sell it. At least according to eBay.
