Increasing your PR – Google Page Rank

PR is the abbreviation for page rank. If someone mentions online that their website is PR1 or PR2 that usually means that the website is located on the first or second page rank of search results in Google. It is important to get your website on PR1 because once you do you will receive a lot of traffic to your website. A website without any traffic is useless especially if you are trying to sell something on your website.

People make websites for many different reasons some people make them to keep a record of their life or thoughts and other people make websites to make money from. Of course if you have a personal blog set up you probably do not want the entire internet getting a glimpse into your personal life. However, if you want to sell something with your website you will want to get as much traffic to your website as possible so that a lot of people buy your product.

You can’t expect to sell anything or make any money off of a website that does not receive any traffic. So once you set up your website and you have a basic idea of what you want to do with it you need to work on content. Website content is anything you put on a website; usually articles, but pictures and videos also count as a form of content. Either way you should focus in writing well written articles about the topic of your website. If the articles you write are interesting you will slowly start to build a following of devoted readers.

If you write articles that have lots of spelling mistakes and poor grammar you won’t be able to build a proper fan base because no one will be able to understand what you are trying to talk about in your articles.

  1. With PR2, my site does not receive good traffic either. Maybe, it is because of the chosen keywords, but it is on first page on my targeted keyword..
